Obituary of Adeline B. Winter

Adeline B. Winter, a lifetime resident of Tacoma, Washington, was born on June 23, 1923 and died on August 9, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents Victor L. and Ann Bouffioux, and sister Dorothy Baldassin. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph N. Winter, her children Thomas, Joseph N. (Nick) Jr. (Anna), Terri Czapinski, (Robert, deceased), and Mary Kitto (John); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Neil and Jennifer Czapinski, and Angus Musselman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Addie was a 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School and active on the Class Reunion Committee. She worked as a secretary at Atlas Foundry, Marine Ironworks and for Richard O. Edington, CPA, although her most important work was as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed church prayer groups, traveling, and collecting 'little pink pigs'. A Funeral mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Viewing will be from 12:00 -7:00 p.m. followed by the reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Piper, Morley, Mellinger Funeral Home, 5436 South Puget Sound, Tacoma. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. The family thanks Dr. Keith Demirjian, Barbara & staff at Primary Care NW, staff at St. Joe's Hospital & Therapy Unit, the Multi-Care home nursing and care givers, and the staff at Tacoma Lutheran Home for their care of Addie. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Addie's name to the Diabetes Association, Tacoma Lutheran Home, or the Franciscan Foundation.
