Obituary of Gilbert Theodore Muñoz

Gilbert Theodore Muñoz of San Jose, California joined our Lord in Heaven on October 21, 2008. He was born on March 23, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to his loving parents Gilbert and Judith Muñoz. Gilbert Theodore is survived by his son Gilbert Jason and his grandson Andrew David that he loved with all his heart. Their births were the most momentous events in his life. He is also survived by his parents and sister Kelli and husband Tony. Gilbert was buried at the Sacramento Valley Veteran's National Cemetery at 5810 Midway Road in Dixon, California with Military Honors on Friday, December 5, 2008. He enlisted into the Army in August, 1974 and was stationed at Fort Ord in Monterey Peninsula, California. Upon discharge in August, 1977 he held the rank of SPC (Specialist). His most gratifying assignment was serving on the Honors Guard. Athletics was very important throughout his life which included baseball, football and wrestling. Baseball mania continued throughout adulthood as he played on adult softball leagues on and off. This passion created a bond between him and his son. It was always their special time together. Other interests included bowling, hiking and fishing. His family, friends and even acquaintances will miss his happy go lucky nature and laughter. He was a good man with a heart of gold. Gilbert was born again with Christ in his heart.
