Obituary of Ann Marie Manza

Ann Marie Manza (Our Beloved Nana) Ann, 96, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Oct 7, 2008. She was born on Nov 13, 1911, in Tacoma WA. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1931. Ann worked until the age of 71 at Pacific Match Co, Cammarano Brothers, Brown & Haley, Tacoma Feed, and then retired from Western Furnace in 1982. She then volunteered for 20 years at First Lutheran Meal Site. Ann was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church since 1922. She is survived by her two daughters: Judy Reinke and Jan Blatt (Rob); 9 grandchildren: Laurie (Mike), Greg, Lisa, Kris (Dara), David (Melissa), Joyce (Andy), JoAnne, Janny (Wyatt), John (Kristy); 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Mary, Ralph, Mac, Emmy, Helen and Esther; son in-law Robert Reinke, and grandson Mark Reinke. Her greatest joy in life was all her grandchildren. Ann's family wishes a heartfelt thanks to Villa Cynthia Adult Care Home and Franciscan Hospice for all the love and care she received. Viewing will be held Thurs. from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM; Rosary starts at 7:00 PM, both at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home, 5436 S. Puget Sound Ave. Funeral Mass is on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Rita's Catholic Church.
