Obituary of Violet Jeanne Klaus

Violet Jeanne Klaus Was born to Jonathan and Harriet O'Brien on May 13, 1929 in Layton, Utah, and passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Tacoma, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Winton Klaus, younger brother Terrence O'Brien and older sister Betty Lou Weeks, who passed away just a month prior. Jeanne grew up in Utah, Idaho and Washington. Shortly after graduating from Puyallup High School she married Raymond Kulju and moved to Lawler, Minnessota. Several years later she returned to Tacoma and married Winton Klaus. They owned and operated "Printing Plus" for 25 years, retiring in 2000 Jeanne is survived by her nine children, Jack (Beverly) Kulju, their children Patric and Lisa; Tom (Ann) Kulju; Kerry Lou (Ray Nelson; Karl Kulju, his children Michael and Brittany; Eric (Greta) Kulju, their children Jacob (Kerstin) and Jennifer; Toni (Brett) Pugsley, their children Payton and Cameron; Kris (Paula) Kulju, their children Anna (Noah Goedker), Cheryl, Michelle and Amy; Trell Kulju; Jonathan (Brenda) Kulju, their children Malia, Jack and Samantha. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 30, at 12:00 pm at the Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home, 5436 S. Puget Sound Ave., Tacoma, 253-472-3353. Interment at Mt. View Memorial Park following.
