Obituary of Theodore L. Hanby

Theodore (Ted) Hanby Sr of Eatonville Washington passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 26, 2008. Born in Tacoma Wa., on February 17, 1936 the son of the late Wilton & Helen Hanby. Ted was a sincere friend to all who knew him, it was said, "he made many firends but never lost one". Ted worked and became a Supervisor of Hygrade Meat Company in Tacoma for 25 years and retired in 1980. Ted, along with his wife Juanita owned and operated two TJ's Taverns in the Tacoma area for 20 years. Ted and Juanita have lived in Eatonville for the last 14 years, living on the lake was always his dream. Ted loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and feeding the wildlife! He loved spending time with his family and friends, he will be dearly missed by his beloved wife and best friend of 33 years Juanita and his loving children Shelley, Sandy, Ted (Sandra), Terri (Jerry), Jeffrey & Joyce. Also, his step children, Jon (Donna), Mike (Lisa), Cindy (Steve), Sandy (Jeff) and Randy (Susan). He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Bill & his first wife Clara. He is survived by sisters, Carole, Dorothy & Dixie as well as 26 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Service will be held on Saturday May 3rd at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 4519 112th St E, Tacoma at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
