Obituary of Bradley Owen Guerrero

Bradley passed away on Saturday November 8, 2008 at his home in Enumclaw Wa. He was 56 years old. He was born in Auburn Wa. to Edward and Beverly Guerrero. He was Tlingit and Filippino on his father's side and Snohomish, Quinault, and Cowlitz on his mothers side. He attended Algona Elementary in Algona Wa. through the 6th grade. Then on to Olympic Junior High in Auburn Wa. for the 7th - 9th grades. He went on to Auburn High School graduating in 1971. He started working for his Auntie Mary and Uncle Tom on their farm in Kent Wa. Picking berries, peas, helping harvest their produce for sale at the Pike Place Market. Brad and his older brother Doug also worked at GSA during the summer. After graduating from High School he moved to Anchorage, Alaska. He learned the Bartending trade from his father. He tended bar in some of the hottest bars in town. During the summer he would spend time in Yakutat, Alaska as a deckhand on his Brother Perry's commercial fishing boat during coho and silver salmon season. In the fall he would head back to Anchorage, to tend bar again. He loved to ski at the Alyeska ski resort. He then moved to Lahaina in Maui Hawaii. He stayed there for about 6 years. He was employed at the Whales Tail, bartending. He enjoyed his time in paradise. Upon leaving Hawaii he returned to Auburn. He went to work for Pacific Car and Foundry in Renton, Wa. He also worked for the Kenworth Corp. working on big rigs. After being laid off he worked at the Muckelshoot Casino for awhile. Needing a new adventure he took the training to become a flagger. He was certified and joined the labors union local #440. He worked at Max J. Kuney Inc. for the last 10 years as a flagger. Bradley was a member of the Native American Church. He truely enjoyed going to meetings and sweating in the sweat lodges too. The achievement he was very proud of was being clean and sober for the last 12 years. Bradley is survived by his daughter, Rachael Larson - Fairbanks, Alaska. Siblings, Douglas P. Guerrero - Enumclaw, Washington, Cathy L. Krona - Tacoma, Washington, Mary E. Guerrero - Renton, Washington, Perry S. Guerrero - Raymond, Washington, Diane B. Jackola - Enumclaw, Washington, Jody A. Guerrero - Auburn, Washington. Brother's In-law, David W. Krona - Tacoma, Washington, Dale A. Jackola - Enumclaw, David R. Brooks - Renton, Washington. Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and lots of other extended family and friends.
