Obituary of Anthony Andrew Escarcega

"Tony" Anthony Andrew Escarcega 1/26/58 to 1/28/09 In loving memory of our beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend…A truly kind and generous young man, Tony was born, raised, and resided here in Tacoma, Washington for all of his 51 years. On the 28th of January 09, he began his journey home to "Heaven"… Tony was the second eldest child of eight. After graduating from Henry Foss High School in 1977, he went on to pursue his occupation as a proud member of the ILWU ~ Union, Local 23 as a Longshoreman for the Port of Tacoma, a job he began at the age of 16…following in the foot steps of his father "Andy." He leaves behind two sons; Don Anthony, Adrian Dennis, and a daughter Jessica May, as well as three adorable grandchildren, and his best friend…Patricia Lane, mother of the children. Survived by his beloved mother; Darlene Carol(OBI) Escarcega, three sisters; Esther Horseman, Carmelita and Carol Escarcega, two brothers; Mario and Chuck Escarcega, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews, his "Baby" grandma Elsie Obi, and several Aunts and Uncles… While "Tony," will be dearly missed by many, we rejoice in knowing that he will happily reunite at the gates of Heaven with his father; Andrew Acosta Escarcega, his brothers Eddie and Gilbert, his three nephews August Anthony, Courtney Dean and "Bubby" Mario Andrew, all of whom preceded him in death. Viewing will follow a rosary to be held at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home on the 6th of February 09, at 6 PM. Located at 5436 South Puget Sound Ave., Tacoma, Washington The funeral mass will be held at Visitation Parish on the 7th of February 09 at 1PM.
