Obituary of Isabelle D. Bartyzal

Together Again Isabelle D. Bartyzal was born on August 26, 1918, in Grange Hall, Wisconsin, to Oliver and Emma Belle Wilson and passed away on August 14, 2007, in Tacoma, WA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernie, in 2003. Isabelle and Bernie were married in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 20, 1939. They moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1941 when he was transferred to Tacoma by the Burlington Northern Railroad. They lived in the same house here for over 62 years. Isabelle was a member of Visitation Catholic Church for over 66 years and the South Tacoma Eagles Auxiliary #2933 where she served as organist and was Permanent Mother for 15 years. She and Bernie were both very active in the Eagles and had many, many good friends. She was also a member of the Musician's Union for many years and played in a band. Isabelle was a very loving person who will be remembered by many for her kind and caring ways and generous heart. Isabelle is survived by her niece, Elaine Harmon, of Olympia, Washington, nephew Allen Payne of Bremerton, Washington; her special cousin, Louise Mewhorter, of Red Wing, Minnesota, many cousins in Wisconsin and Minnesota and her two guardians, Muriel Bate and Cheryl Postlethwaite. Viewing will be held at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2007, followed by recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at Visitation Catholic Church, 3314 South 58th St., Tacoma, Washington, 98409.
