Obituary of Dorothy E. Yerbich

There is a new Angel in Heaven. Dorothy E. Yerbich, an exceptionally special lady passed away peacefully on May 31, 2007. She was born on Whitefish Lake in Tenstrike, MN on September 14, 1921. Dorothy grew up on a farm with nine brothers and sisters. Dorothy was married to Thomas Yerbich for 49 years. They moved to the Tacoma area in 1941 where they worked side by side in a successful home construction business. Together they found great joy in travel, fishing and hunting. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, and grandchildren Douglas Jr. and Teresa Yerbich. There was nothing more important to her than her family. One of her frequent sayings was "if you don't have family, you don't have anything". Tom and Dorothy had two children, Douglas (Pat) Yerbich, Judi Zenk, son-in-law Bill Zenk and grandchildren, Tamela (Michael) Welch, Traci (Joch) Louman, Jeff Zenk and Gigi Zenk and Jason (Kelli) Zenk. She was blessed with great-grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Tomas, Zachary, Elizabeth, Jesse (Dawn) and Cameron and many treasured nieces and nephews. We will all miss our Mimi's wisdom, wit and unconditional love. A visitation will be held Monday, June 4 at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00PM to 7:00PM and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM.
