Obituary of Kenneth E. Durnin

Kenneth E. Durnin 8/26/1940 - 9/9/2007 Kenny" - a long-time resident of Browns Point and surely remembered for his loving smile and kind spirit, passed away suddenly on September 9th. Kenny was born 8/26/1940 in Plains, Montana to Joel and Mary Cecilia Durnin, and graduated from Stadium High, where he was a member of the swim team and received the Inspirational Award in 1958. Kenny worked as a mechanic for Montgomery Elevator for 38 years and retired in 1998. He had a strong passion for old cars, especially his O32 Ford Hotrod, and greatly loved to travel with family and friends. Kenny's parents and wife Nancy preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Durnin and Ted Paggeot, daughters Lynn Hopson and Gaye Rose, sister Judith Strong, brothers Ted and Jamie Durnin, and nine grandchildren. Kenny will be dearly missed by long-time companion Brenda Boyle, and so many close family and friends. Memorial services will be held at Piper-Morley Funeral Home on Friday, 9/14/2007 at 2 pm, and a celebration of Kenny's life will be at 5 pm at Browns Point Improvement Club, 201 Ton-A-Wan-Da NE.
